Team Project Setup

If you have not already done so, create a new team project. Give it a name and choose a process template.

Next, connect to the team project using Visual Studio 2013. Some features of TFS are not available in Visual Studio 2012. Use Visual Studio 2012 when working with BizTalk solutions only. For everything else, use Visual Studio 2013.
Set up you source control branches at this point. The branching strategy will vary depending on the size of the project. For small projects, branching that matches the environments works well. In this case there will be "Development", "Test" and "Production" environments.

Start by creating a folder called “Dev”, and convert it to a branch. Create a new branch from “Dev” and call it “Test”. Finally create the “Prod” branch from the “Test” branch.
